  • Friday 15 December 2023, 19:00 - 21:00 at Bos en Lommer

During this special 2-hour class you will be guided through the entire Moon Sequence.

The Moon Sequence is made up of a series of yoga poses focused on hip and shoulder openers, while still being a well-rounded complete practice. Throughout the practice you will be guided to focus on relaxing and easing into the postures and finding options that feel appropriate for your body.

What Will We Cover in the Special Class?

During this longer moon sequence class, we’ll be focused on using our breath to guide our physical yoga practice. This special class will include:

  • A simple pranayama breathing technique (1-2-3-pause)

  • Core warm-ups

  • Moon salutations

  • Flowing standing poses

  • Gentle seated forward bends and hip openers

  • Shoulder openers and backbends

  • Relaxing restorative poses

  • Relaxation and meditation

This special class is intended for yoga practitioners that would like to develop and deepen their practice. The moon sequence is a gentle vinyasa slow flow style class. It is a great supportive sequence to practice once or twice a week and can be helpful to balance a more dynamic yoga practice.

It will be helpful if you have already attended some vinyasa slow flow classes and are familiar with the basic yoga postures.

During the workshop, you will learn:

  • How to bring more lightness, ease, and softness to your yoga practice while still practicing active yoga poses.

  • How to breathe more effectively and with more awareness in a flowing yoga practice.

  • How to become more mobile in your shoulders through a series of shoulder openers and backbends, including the Camel Pose (Ustrasana).

  • How to become more mobile in your hips through a series of hip openers and forward bends, including the Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana).

  • How to build up to a longer flowing vinyasa practice with pranayama and meditation.

After the workshop, you will receive a handout copy of the Moon Sequence to use in your home practice.
